SEAMER

Seamer equipment is designed to seal a lid to a metal or composite body. A seamer machine makes continuous seam between the lid and the body.

DEFINITION

Seamer machine seams lid and body. Output and speed interrelating to number of heads on the seamer.

The shape of the double seam is determined by the shape of the seamer roll profile and the relative position.

The drum body is seamed to the drum end by the function of the seaming machine. Triple seaming resulting in with 7 layer of sheet in the cross section will ensure the tightness of seam. The seam design works in favor of tightening when drum is dropped or impacted.

Seamer machines are important for sealing the drums. If the seams are not formed correctly, micro-organisms can get into and may harm the substance in the drums. Correct seam of the lid to the body is sufficient for sealing.
